Rewards & discounts

Do you have any discount codes?

We have a welcome offer for email newsletter subscribers on their first order, and you can subscribe to our newsletter using either the pop-up on the home page, or through the link at the bottom of the home page.

What do rewards points do?

Points are generated on every order you place as part of our rewards program, which you can redeem on future orders:

Create Account | Charlie and Fox

I redeemed my points, however the amount it took off my order was a lower value. Why is this?

As we’re located in Australia, our rewards program runs in AUD. The price difference you're seeing is due the currency conversion from here to your local currency.

Fabric dust jackets

What's the best size for me?

The easiest way to check what size you need, is to measure the height (spine) of your book, and check this against our size chart guide. You'll find this in the product images above, and here's a quick overview of the most common sizes we see, depending on where in the world you are.

USA: We recommend the Large (L) for your tall hardcovers, and quite often your paperbacks will fit either the Small (S) or Demi-Small (DS).

UK/Aus/Rest of world: We recommend the Large (L) for your tall hardcovers, Medium (M) for your tall paperbacks, and Extra Small (XS) for your short paperbacks.

Still not sure on sizing? Drop a question in the chat box (bottom left corner of your screen), or flick an email across to us at support@charlieandfox.com.au - we're always more than happy to help!

And for a more in-depth look at the sizes, check out our blog post here.

Do these work on both hardcover and paperback books?

They sure do! Our fabric covers are designed to work on both hardcover and paperback books.

What size do I need for FairyLoot books?

For your beautiful tall FairyLoot hardcover books (royal size), you're going to want the Large (L) size, which is designed for tall hardcovers up to 9.5 inches / 24cm in height.

If you have any of the short FairyLoot hardcovers, go for the Demi-small (DS) size, which is perfect for books up to 8.25 inches / 21cm in height.

What size do I need for Sarah J. Maas?

Tall hardcovers: go for the large (L) size

Shorter paperbacks: For Aus/UK editions, go for the extra small (XS) size. For US editions, we recommend double checking your book height as you'll either want the XS size (for 8" paperbacks) or the small (S) size (for 8.5" paperbacks).

Tall paperbacks: go for the medium (M) size

What size do I need for Fourth Wing?

Tall hardcovers: go for the large (L) size

Tall paperbacks: go for the medium (M) size

German hardcover: go for the small (S) size

Short paperbacks: For Aus/UK editions, go for the extra small (XS) size.

Are they waterproof?

While the cotton exterior fabric will absorb small amounts of moisture, we can't guarantee any protection of your books against water damage. The edges of your book pages will also still be exposed, so we recommend taking extra care when your book is around water and other liquids.

How do I clean my dust jacket?

Gentle cold wash by hand or machine (if using machine, place in garment bag), and lay flat to dry. Do not tumble-dry, as this can shrink your dust jacket.

Warm iron recommended only for non-foiled fabric, as heat & rubbing can damage foiled designs.

I’ve received my dust jacket and it’s slightly bigger than what the website size says. Is this right?

The sizing details on our website (e.g. 20cm / 8 inches) refers to intended book size for each fabric dust jacket. The dust jacket itself will be slightly taller than this to allow room for your book to slide into the pocket of the dust jacket without bending or damaging your corners.

I'd love to make my own, can you share your pattern?

We're flattered that you love our design enough to want to make your own, however we don't share our patterns or design specs.

While we don't own the concept of dust jackets in general, the IP that we've created within Charlie & Fox to design our *specific* fabric dust jackets is protected, and we'd be remiss if we didn't at least refer you to our website Terms of Service in this regard (Section 10: Intellectual Property).

Do your dust jacket sizes change?

We have a small tolerance (+/- 2mm) for our design specs, as each of these are individually made by hand so you many notice tiny differences between individual dust jackets. We also made our Large dust jackets longer in early 2024 to allow them to fit even thicker books! With all of that being said, if you ever have any trouble with sizing and need to check with us, please don't hesitate to reach out to support@charlieandfox.com.au

Do these fit every single book?

While we can’t guarantee these will fit every book, we have made them to be as accommodating as possible and they will fit most books (providing they match the height in the size guide) from 250-900+ pages, depending on individual page thickness of course.

If one of the dust jacket sizes is out of stock, will I still get all sizes if I purchase a bundle?

You sure will get all sizes! We have separate stock allocated to our dust jacket bundles and single listings.

Padded book sleeves

What size do I need?

If you're not sure where to start, the large size is our recommendation as this is our most popular size, and will fit quite a lot of your books. If you read mostly smaller paperbacks, quite often you'll fit two of these in our large book sleeve, and if you'd like a more snug fit for just one book, size down to the small. And for your super thick books (we're talking Priory of the Orange Tree [Samantha Shannon], Kingdom of Ash [Sarah J. Maas], Empire of the Vampire [Jay Kristoff]), definitely upsize to the extra-large!

Still not sure on sizing? Drop a question in the chat box (bottom left corner of your screen), or flick an email across to us at support@charlieandfox.com.au, we're always more than happy to help!

Will a book fit in a book sleeve if it has a fabric dust jacket on it?

Our fabric dust jackets aren’t too bulky, so they don’t take up much extra room inside your book sleeve. If your book is quite snug already without a dust jacket on, we do recommend sizing up your book sleeve to give you that little bit of extra room for the dust jacket.

Can I use these for my iPad?

You sure can!

For regular iPads, we recommend the large size. And for the iPad pro, we recommend the extra-large size - only caveat here is that if you have a cover on your iPad pro, it may be *just* too tight to fit with the pen attached to the size of your case. Similarly, if your case is bulky, it will likely also be too tight.

Looking for iPad mini? Go for our tall e-reader sleeve for a snug fit, or our small book sleeve for a more roomy fit.

Are they waterproof?

While the cotton exterior fabric and padding will absorb small amounts of moisture, we can't guarantee any protection of your books against water damage.

How do I clean my book sleeve?

Gentle cold wash by hand or machine (if using machine, place in garment bag), and lay flat to dry. Do not tumble-dry, as this can shrink your book sleeve.

Warm iron recommended only for non-foiled fabric, as heat & rubbing can damage foiled designs.

Padded e-reader sleeves

What size do I need?

Our sizing has been designed to accommodate for the most common e-reader sizes.

Small size: fits your Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kobo Clara (devices up to 125mm x 175mm).

Wide size: fits your Kindle Oasis, Kobo Forma, and Kobo Sage (devices up to 160mm x 180mm)

Tall size: fits your iPad mini (devices up to 135mm x 200mm).

If you have a device larger than the ones listed, we recommend sizing up to our small book sleeve which is made exactly the same way, just sized a little bit bigger to accommodate for your books as well.

Still not sure on sizing? Drop a question in the chat box (bottom left corner of your screen), or flick an email across to us at support@charlieandfox.com.au, we're always more than happy to help!

Will the e-reader sleeve fit if I have a case/popsocket?

All of our padded e-reader sleeves have a little bit of wiggle room built into them, so as long as your case isn't too bulky, your e-reader will definitely still fit with a case and/or popsocket attached.

Are they waterproof?

While the cotton exterior fabric and padding will absorb small amounts of moisture, we can't guarantee any protection of your device against water damage.

How do I clean my e-reader sleeve?

Gentle cold wash by hand or machine (if using machine, place in garment bag), and lay flat to dry. Do not tumble-dry, as this can shrink your book sleeve.

Warm iron recommended only for non-foiled fabric, as heat & rubbing can damage foiled designs.

My e-reader is too big for your sleeves, can you custom make one for me?

As much as we wish we could create customs, we unfortunately don't offer this service. If your device is bigger than our e-reader sleeve sizes, we recommend bumping up to one of our book sleeves. These all have the same padding, and are all made with magnetic snaps for a nice gentle close to keep your device snug & secure.
