What size fabric dust jacket do I need?

This is where we recommend you start, based on the most common dust jacket sizes purchased by location:

  • USA/Canada: 9.5" and 9.25" for your tall hardcovers, 9" for your tall paperbacks, and 8.25" for your short paperbacks; 8.5" & 7.75" sizes are handy as well
  • UK/Australia/NZ/Europe: 24.1cm for your tall hardcovers, 23.5cm for your tall paperbacks, and 19.7cm for your short paperbacks; 21.6cm is a handy size as well

What size dust jacket do I need?

Easiest way: measure the height (spine) of your book, and check this against our size guide.

If you're not near your books and/or a ruler, don't panic - we can still help! This is where we recommend you start, based on the most common dust jacket sizes purchased by location:

USA/Canada:

  • 9.5" & 9.25" for your tall hardcovers
  • 9" for your tall paperbacks
  • 8.25" for your short paperbacks
  • more? 7.75" and 8.5" are handy sizes to have as well

UK/Australia/NZ/Europe:

  • 24.1cm for your tall hardcovers
  • 23.5cm for your tall paperbacks
  • 19.7cm for your short paperbacks
  • more? 21.6cm is a handy size to have as well

Keep in mind! This is a very broad recommendation based on the most common book sizes for each location to get you started on your fabric dust jacket journey. You'll likely have some books in your collection that better suit a different fabric dust jacket size, and you can find a heap more information on sizing here:
