This fabric dust jacket features a beautiful Silver Sky design, in a premium cotton fabric with a subtle silver foil detail.

Sizing info

We recommend measuring the height (spine) of your books to select the best fabric covers for your personal collection.

L - for tall & royal hardcovers up to 24cm / 9.5 inches tall

US-L - for US tall hardcovers up to 23.5cm / 9.25 inches tall

M - for tall trade paperbacks up to 23cm / 9 inches tall

S - for digest paperbacks & smaller hardcovers up to 21.5cm / 8.5 inches tall

DS - for paperbacks up to 21cm / 8.25 inches tall

XS - for trade paperbacks up to 20cm / 8 inches tall

XXS - for mass market paperbacks up to 17.75cm / 7" tall

How to use

Tuck the front cover of your book into the pocket of the fabric dust jacket
Wrap the dust jacket around your book and fold it over the back cover
Secure in place with the elastic strap (dust jacket will adjust to the thickness of your book)
Never lose your page with the built-in ribbon bookmark (unless your cat grabs hold of it)

What's in a bundle?

Classic bundle includes 1 x L, 1 x M, 1 x S, and 1 x XS (4 fabric dust jackets in total). It does not include the US-L, DS, or XXS size.

Ultimate bundle includes 1 x L, 1 x M, 1 x S, 1 x DS, 1 x XS and 1 x XSS (6 fabric dust jackets in total). It does not include the US-L size.

Our fabric dust jackets have been designed with the most common sizes of books in publishing in mind. The easiest way to make sure you're choosing the right size is to measure the height of your book, and check this against our size chart. What's the best size for me?

The easiest way to check what size you need, is to measure the height (spine) of your book, and check this against our size chart guide. You'll find this in the product images above, and here's a quick overview of the most common sizes we see, depending on where in the world you are.

USA: We recommend the Large (L) for your tall hardcovers, and quite often your paperbacks will fit either the Small (S) or Demi-Small (DS).

UK/Aus/Rest of world: We recommend the Large (L) for your tall hardcovers, Medium (M) for your tall paperbacks, and Extra Small (XS) for your short paperbacks.

Can I build my own bundle with different designs?

You sure can! Simply add any 4 to your cart and you'll automatically receive a 10% bundle discount, and add any 6 to automatically receive a 15% bundle discount

What size do I need for FairyLoot books?

For your beautiful tall FairyLoot hardcover books (royal size), you're going to want the Large (L) size, which is designed for tall hardcovers up to 9.5 inches / 24cm in height.

If you have any of the short FairyLoot hardcovers, go for the Demi-small (DS) size, which is perfect for books up to 8.25 inches / 21cm in height.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to nearly every country around the world from our business hub here in Australia. This includes USA, Canada, UK, Europe, New Zealand, and of course Australia.

Are they waterproof?

While the cotton exterior fabric will absorb small amounts of moisture, we can't guarantee any protection of your books against water damage. The edges of your book pages will also still be exposed, so we recommend taking extra care when your book is around water and other liquids.

Do you offer wholesale for retailers?

How do I clean my dust jacket?

Gentle cold wash by hand or machine (if using machine, place in garment bag), and lay flat to dry. Do not tumble-dry, as this can shrink your dust jacket.

Warm iron recommended only for non-foiled fabric, as heat & rubbing can damage foiled designs.

I've ordered the wrong size, can I exchange it?

Absolutely! This falls within our Returns & Refunds policy which covers you for 30 days after your order arrives. Simply reach out to us at support@charlieandfox.com.au and we'll get this organised for you.

I’ve received my dust jacket and it’s slightly bigger than what the website size says. Is this right?

The sizing details on our website (e.g. 20cm / 8 inches) refers to intended book size for each fabric dust jacket. The dust jacket itself will be slightly taller than this to allow room for your book to slide into the pocket of the dust jacket without bending or damaging your corners.

I'd love to make my own, can you share your pattern?

We're flattered that you love our design enough to want to make your own, however we don't share our patterns or design specs.

While we don't own the concept of dust jackets in general, the IP that we've created within Charlie & Fox to design our *specific* fabric dust jackets is protected, and we'd be remiss if we didn't at least refer you to our website Terms of Service in this regard (Section 10: Intellectual Property).

Do your dust jacket sizes change?

We have a small tolerance (+/- 2mm) for our design specs, as each of these are individually made by hand so you many notice tiny differences between individual dust jackets. We also made our Large dust jackets longer in early 2024 to allow them to fit even thicker books! With all of that being said, if you ever have any trouble with sizing and need to check with us, please don't hesitate to reach out to support@charlieandfox.com.au

Love this set with the shine!

When I saw this set for sale I was shocked. It's so beautiful and is so much better in person with the parts that shine and shimmer. I got the full set of the dust jackets and tried one on a hardcover and the on the paperback. Both fit like a glove. This was a trial purchase to see if I would like the dust jackets and I do. So win win all around. Already have purchased more in the new fantasy collection!

Sizes listed don't matter?

I purchased 4 of this style (XS, DS, M, and US'L). The Medium and the US-Large are both the same size - 9.5 inches. I understand that the dust jackets are going to be larger really than the book you use them for so I'm not upset that the US-L is 9.5" instead of 9.25". But that the medium is also 9.5" instead of 9''.

When I emailed customer support I was asked if the medium was shorter in width as "the main difference between the US-L and the medium is the extra width to accomodate [sic] the extra width for the hardcovers." Not the listed 9" or 9.25" listed as the difference between the two. But some other measurement that is not found anywhere on the Charlie & Fox website. I don't like it when the dust jackets are so much larger than the book - the fabric bunches and the dust jacket is loose. It makes it harder for me to hold and, frankly, doesn't look nice. So to me, the fact that the medium and the US-L came as the exact same size makes the medium useless to me. I'm just really unhappy with the customer support response I got. Why list sizes and then not honor them?

I got another reply from customer support that didn't mention at all the fact that the dust jackets where the same size. They did say I could return the medium for a refund if "the sizing still isn't quite right for your needs". But I have done that before and had to pay for return shipping. It's amazing to me that a company can list products for certain sizes, then when two items that are supposed to be different sizes comes as the same size just say - well, THAT size doesn't matter, it's really this other size that we don't advertise.

Thank-you for sending through your feedback. I completely understand that it must be incredibly disappointing for you to have a bad experience after placing so many amazing orders with us, and I will absolutely be using this is a valuable learning tool to look at where and how we can improve.
I've reviewed the correspondence between yourself and customer support, and have also double-checked that you were refunded for your medium dust jacket at no expense to yourself. I can appreciate that with your beautiful collection of Charlie & Fox dust jackets, you know what feels most comfortable on your books and I cannot apologise enough that the medium you ordered was not up to standard.
As noted in your conversation with customer support, the medium size is a little taller than 9' to accommodate for tall paperbacks in the US (which are usually spot on 9'), and in UK/Austraila (which are often just over 9'). This extra height is there to help protect readers with UK/Aus editions so they don't risk damaging their books by trying to squeeze them in, however I do appreciate that this makes them a little taller on US paperbacks.
It looks like there is definitely an opportunity here to improve our range with a size in between our current S and M dust jackets to better acommodate US 9' paperbacks (similar to what we did with the US-L for US hardcovers), to give a more comfortable fit as you've recommended. If you're open to it, if/when this size is available for trialling, I'd love to send one your way to get your feedback and comments to make sure it is an ideal fit for this book size.

Fits the combine LOTR

If anyone is wondering if these dust jackets fit their super thick books, the answer is, Yes! I got the Large and my combine LOTR book fits perfectly inside with no issues. The fabric is not only beautiful, it is sturdy and well made. I am definitely getting more in other sizes so the rest of my books can be nice, safe, and cozy while reading. ❤️
